I often mock Javascript in my work environment being an unashamed fan of Java.  Usually it is in jest, but there are some good reasons why Javascript is not ready for prime time.

Why, just today while doing some front end coding for Angular I was reminded of this little gem...

var v = 0;
if(v == '' || v == null) alert('On what planet is null or empty string equal to zero??');

No surprises what pops up when you put the above code in.  How dangerous is that!!  I would have at least hopped that Typescript would be picked that up and or fixed it.

Anyway, back to more Javascripting... which me luck!
